1. Prepare the Space: Open windows and doors to let smoke and negative energy exit freely.
2. Light the Sage: Hold the sage stick at a 45-degree angle over the ceramic bowl. Light the end and let it burn for 20 seconds, then blow out the flame gently, creating glowing embers.
3. Smudge: Use the feather wand to guide the smoke through all corners of the space, moving it toward walls, hallways, and enclosed spaces like cupboards. Speak your intention aloud to reinforce positive energy.
4. Extinguish Carefully: When finished, press the sage stick into the bowl to snuff it out. Sand in the bowl is recommended for safe extinguishing. Double-check that the sage is completely out before leaving or sleeping.
